An exploration of growth potential.

Common Ground Plant Co. started as a way for me, a woman in my thirties who has been highly independent and self-employed for the last decade, to find a new sense of self as a mother of twins. Becoming a mother has been my greatest joy but also a massive challenge in learning how to staying put. My previous career, dog training, took me out of the house but that was no longer possible. I need a project to feel sane and it needed to be something at home. I tried all kinds of crafts but those didn’t scratch my itch. I had to build a business. I need to share my passions with people and build connection. Plants have been my hobby since the houseplant boom in 2020 so it only made sense that I lean towards them.

Farmstands have been popping up all over and I wanted to join in on the fun but I’m not a baker or a gardener. And I’m far from traditional. Houseplants were the answer. I opened late summer of 2025 and reopened for the second year summer of 2026.

As this little plant stand has grown in popularity, the natural next step was this website to allow you to show year round!

It has been a true labor of love to pour into this business and share beauty with all of you. Thank you for the opportunity to do something I absolutely love.
